what kinds of things can you make with a KitchenAid stand mixer besides bread and cookies?

I am getting a KitchenAid stand mixer for my birthday, but I am on a strict diet (getting married in Feb.) and can’t really eat breads and cookies and cakes and that kind of thing. What else will I be able to use my stand mixer for?

I use mine for whipping cream, meringue, making genoise batter, custards, key lime pie, grinding meat and stuffing sausage (I have the grinder/stuffer attachment). With the right attachment, you can make ice cream, shred vegetables, juice fruits and make pasta.

Its also good for breaking up plum tomatoes when making a sauce.

Its my 2nd most used small appliance. My 14 cup cuisinart food processor is my most used appliance

Besides doughs and batters, I also use my Kitchen Aid mixer for mashed potatoes. If you’re getting some of the attachments, then that opens up lots of other things that you can make.

OMG let me count the ways. I SWEAR I’m that’s not samartass remark. Most if not all restaurant have same brand of mixer. One same size as yours. Another so big it has to sit on the floor fo bigger batches. Think of any recipe that has to be mixed and it can will go in your mixer. They have different settings so that if it has tob mixed gently it can be. I’ve known people with arthritis and who like to cook and/or bake to mix EVERYTHING that needs to be mixed because it has become to hard for them to do it by hand. Restaurant cooks I know personally love to use them when recipes call for dry ingedient all together in seperate bowl from liquids then combine the 2 bowls of ingredients. Think I’m pulling your leg? DON’T think about restaurants make big batches putting in mixer makes it easier on the cook.

<3 Kitchenaid stand mixers are great just for show. They are like an american icon – but – you can blend and mix sugar free cakes and things like that with it as well.
